Welcome to a world where every child is seen, celebrated, and supported! My path to becoming a therapist was paved by a meaningful connection with my own child therapist. They provided a safe and affirming space where I could truly be myself. This transformative experience sparked my passion for supporting children navigating complex feelings, identities, anxiety, school, trauma, and other life challenges.

 

I’ve had the privilege of working as a counselor in the very place where children spend most of their day – school! My roles as a school counselor and in special education have allowed me to assist a diverse range of children, from ages 3 to 14. These experiences have equipped me with a wealth of tools and insights, particularly in collaborating with parents and teachers to help children thrive.

 

In my therapy practice, I honor children’s stories. I aim to provide a joyful and supportive environment where children can freely explore their identities and experiences. I use playful and creative methods to make therapy engaging and effective. I am particularly passionate about working with highly sensitive kids, those who are neurodiverse, and are navigating disability. I deeply value and celebrate the uniqueness and inherent strengths of each child, and I understand that sensory and gender-affirming care can be vital to their well-being.

 

In my practice, we use play, art, movement, and educational games to help children learn and grow. I create an environment tailored to each individual child and their family. I am trained in Positive Discipline and enjoy connecting with families and assisting them with practical tips they can use at home.

 

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing my clients overcome challenges and blossom confidently. I love helping children and their families feel a sense of belonging and encouragement. By connecting with children through fun and trusted methods, I hope to make a lasting, positive impact on their lives.

 

Working together to assist children in building self-advocacy skills, social-emotional awareness, and positive coping strategies is at the core of my work as a child therapist. My services encompass a wide range of support, including integrative child-centered therapy, family consultations, parent support and coaching, educational consultation, and advocacy. Together we can embark on a journey to help your child not just survive, but truly thrive and shine!
