Having been raised in a divorced family myself, I experienced the struggles and triumphs families go through when faced with adversity. Even though I was the youngest in my family, I was the peacekeeper; the one to ease others’ anxiety. This early experience in my life has certainly influenced who I am and how I empathize with others going through difficult times.

 

Healthy relationships are essential for everyone, yet that can be a very confusing and complicated task at times. Seeking connection has been a continuous theme in my life. I have always enjoyed listening to people’s life stories and genuinely love to help. Therapy has been a natural career choice and I feel so fortunate to walk alongside my clients on their journey of wellness.

 

My clinical focus is working with teens and adults who need extra mental and relational support. I also work with couples to feel more connected, reach new levels of communication, and ease relationship anxiety. Some of the major issues I help clients navigate include anxiety, depression, trauma, intimacy issues, and adjustment-related concerns.

 

I received my master’s degree in marriage and family therapy where I was trained to look at the whole family or relationship system. We explore together, your actions and choices as they relate to the many types of relationships within your life. Then we put together these puzzle pieces to understand the bigger picture of the influences behind your behavior. The therapy models I use in a session include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, The Gottman Method, and Bowen’s Family Therapy to provide clients with a well-rounded and integrative therapy experience.

 

My goal is to create a compassionate and non-judgmental environment while supporting and challenging clients to live authentic and fulfilling lives. When we get to explore together in a therapeutic setting, it often provides a wealth of information about unresolved fears, strengths & new possibilities. Therapy is for YOU, and together we will find the methods that best foster your growth.
